There are a lot of different makes of controllers and valves around, some of which use universal fit spares and some which are manufacturer specific. Ideally you need something that can be serviced locally.

For a new property starting from scratch a measure and scale plan drawing is the starting point. Parts lists can then be taken and an estimate of cost established.

A proper plan is required so that water requirements for particular areas can be very specific, i.e. gardens and lawns have different requirements so should be separate sections of the system. One of the benefits of this is that you get measurable coverage where it is required.
